Terms and conditions of the Italian lessons

Please read carefully as if you are buying a course from us you will be bound to these terms and conditions:

Private lessons:

All lessons must be paid in advance. Unfortunately we cannot offer our services if the lessons are not settled before the first lesson of each cycle. The first lessons can be arranged to evaluate if the service is suitable for you before you purchase the package. If you decide not to continue after the first lesson you pay only the introductory lesson. We reserve the right to suspend your course in case of missed or partial payments.

Lessons packages: The schools offers lessons at a discounted rate indicated in our price lists. Lessons taken outside the school's lesson package and the trial lesson scheme will be charged £35 per hour per person.

Lesson Cancellations: a notice of possibly 48 hours but not less than 24 hours must be given before the start of the lessons, otherwise you will lose the right to attend the lessons, and we reserve the right to charge you for that lesson.

Lateness/rescheduling: All rescheduling are subject to teacher availability. We will normally do our best to accommodate your needs but we reserve the right to not catch up with late arrivals or repeated rescheduling of the lessons. Teachers are instructed to wait 20 minutes, after than they can cancel lessons with no rescheduling allowed.

Temporary rescheduling: Subject to teacher availability, if you need to change your lesson just for one week please contact your tutor to see if it is possible.

Permanent rescheduling: Subject to teacher availability. If you need to reschedule your lessons on a permanent basis before arranging a new time and date with your tutor please call us in order to find out if the school schedule allows this change. Teachers are not allowed to take permanent rescheduling.

Refunds and exchanges: We cannot refund or exchange services or goods that you did not use. We will refund when we cannot provide the service due to unforeseen circumstances.

Validity of the service: We have estimated that 16 weeks should be enough time to complete the 12 week course, after this period we reserve the right to charge £20 per unused lesson that you want to extend as rebooking fee. In all other cases we will give an additional 4 weeks to complete the course purchased. If you have bought a 6 week course you will have 10 weeks to take all the lessons. Beyound this period the unused lessons will expire. We reserve to invalidate your lessons if you fail to communicate learning pauses in due time beyond the 16 weeks limit.
Please check your personal commitment before enrolling. Any unforeseen circumstances should arise you should communicate immediately with the school and we will try to accommodate your needs, subject to teacher availability.

Remote classes, home/office tuition.

The Italian Class might use 3rd party teachers to perform home/office tuition, these are independent contractors (although they have been screened and trained) and the Italian class shall not be liable of their wrongdoings, poor timekeeping, improper content of lessons or any act beyond our control. If a client feels that a teacher is not suitable for any reason, we will provide a substitute in reasonable time depending on teachers availability and schedules. The request has to be put in writing.

We reserve the right to allocate our teachers in the interest of the school.

Trial lessons: trial lessons have the same prices of normal lessons must be settled in advance. Maximum one trial lesson per group o per student.

Learning materials: Prices always exclude materials, books, cds, photocopies etc.

Prices and teachers are subject to change.

Group lessons

All lessons must be paid in advance. We cannot accept partial payments or deposits.

Cancellations: group lessons are held on a fixed day and place. Cannot be changed or rescheduled by the students.

Refunds and exchanges: We cannot refund or exchange the lessons you did not use with other services or goods.
We can refund only if the course you have enrolled in has been cancelled by us without the possibility of a reasonable replacement course.

Try a Lesson: you can take a level check to be tested and try one lessons. There will be a charge for this service.

Dates and places: Due to operational needs sometimes we need to change and the starting date of the course. We reserve the right to postpone the starting dates for 2 weeks if the course does not reach the minimum number of students. If this is the case we will contact all students in due course.

Learning materials: Prices always exclude materials, books, cds, photocopies etc.

We reserve the right to alter prices, places, and lesson schedule at any time.

If you cannot attend one class or the whole course we cannot refund partially or totally.

Group lessons falling on days with transport strikes, any type of adverse weather, or any other event which is beyond our control WILL GO ahead normally and NO replacement lesson will be offer under any circumstances.

Terms and conditions.

Our services will be subject to the following conditions of this contract.

In order to book our activities a deposit is required according to the email quote you have been offered.

Understanding our fees: Our fees include the booking of the event or events, meals, as specified in your quote, all the tasting, linguistic support at the event either translating, tutoring, interpreting only. Transport if required is included as part of the service and offered on a private agreement basis on a private vehicle. You will not be charged by the Km.
If you require a professional driver such as a taxi please arrange with us in advance, a new price quote will be issued.

Cancellations.

One day tour:
At least a 30 calendar days notice should be given for cancellations for a no penalty refund. At least 15 days notice should be given for a 50% refund. With a notice of less than 10 days no refund will be given.
For no shows, or lateness no refunds will be given under any circumstances.

Multiple day tour
At least a 45 calendar days notice should be given for cancellations for a no penalty refund. At least 30 days notice should be given for a 50% refund. With a notice of less than 15 days no refund will be given.
For no shows, or lateness no refunds will be given under any circumstances.
We are unable to give any full or partial refunds under any circumstances for scheduled or private tours cancelled by you without the notices indicated above.
Cancellation notice must be in writing.

These fees will added to your credit card in the event of short notice cancellation/no shows.

Unforeseen circumstances.

Emilia Delizia will not be responsible for any event due to adverse weather, mechanical breakdowns, road and traffic conditions, public transport cancellations, force majeure, or any event or act of god beyond our control.
Emilia Delizia will not be responsible for compensation in the events of force majeure.

Timing.

Pick up times and drop off times are estimate, this might vary due to road traffic and road condition.

Change or cancellation by us.

In the very unlikely event that we need to cancel or change a tour or programme, we will always offer an alternative. If you accept this alternative we will rearrange the itinerary free of charge. If you decide not to take the alternative for a good reason we will do a pro-rata refund based on the number of activities. For example if you have booked 3 activities in one day and we are unable to provide one of them, we will refund 1/3.

Accuracy.

The description is provided by this website and via email as accurate as possible, sometimes small changes might occur, we reserve the right to make reasonable amendments.

Vehicle insurance
Our vehicles are fully insured to cover third parties as specified by the Italian law (legge 990 del 24/12/1969).

Customers agree to have their own travel insurance to cover any possibility of accident, cancellation, medical expenses.

Responsibility.

Emilia Delizia will not accept claims for lost, damaged or stolen properties, unless is our direct negligence.

We will be no responsible for any damage caused by the client to third parties

Children and minors must be accompanied by their parents or their legal tutors.

Emilia Delizia will not be responsible for damages to properties or injuries to people occurred while visiting, production factories, farms, restaurants, or any archeological sites owned and managed by third parties.

Clients agree to carry their passports at all the times as required by the law in Italy.

Itinerary must be agreed with us before the start of the tour, no changes will be allowed on the day of the tour. We reserve to charge €50 for any date/itinerary change made at least 7 days prior departure, subject to our availability.

Legal jurisdiction.

For any dispute, the Her Majesty Courts of England is to be acknowledged as the sole competent authority.

Data protection
Your details will be solely used to arrange the tours and holidays in Italy, these details including your email will not be passed to any third parties. We are regulated by the data protection act in the UK.
